Methamphetamine is an addictive stimulant drug that strongly activates certain systems in the brain. Methamphetamine is closely related chemically to amphetamine, but the effects on the central nervous system are greater. Both drugs have some medical uses, primarily in the treatment of obesity, but their therapeutic use is limited. Methamphetamine is made from common, easily accessible ingredients in illegal laboratories and has a high potential for abuse and dependence.

In this program, students, along with their teachers and parents, will receive the most current, factual information about the impact of methamphetamine on the brain and the rest of the body.
